Does anyone know a professional who would do this? Is it a tough job or would it be recommended not to do a DIY on it? thanks.

It depends on the type you go for. There are loads of options. From stick on types to under saddle and so on. Some require no power, the better ones require a battery for their built in pre amp. Best thing to do is find out what other Banjo players use and check out the main manufacturers.
