It's been announced, it's based on Eve, it's a .... console game, well it's being deveploped for current generation hardware and it's a MMO! In the sence that planetside was. It's basicly the planetside combat of eve, pod pilots contract dust teams to take wage ground wars for them.

Been waiting for a decent MMO-FPS since Planetside, and with CCP's skills at making open world PvP awesomeness I cant wait to see more of this.

Seeing the Megathron (it was a Mega right?) firing from the ground looked excellent. There'll probably be a lot of bitching from the Eve community if this actually effects the way corps/alliances have to plan their attack/defense though. Its a great idea on paper, but we'll see how it turns out.

because they made it pretty clear that the strategic aspect of this fps will have an impact on sovereignty.

What was the last one where part of the Amarr kingdom attacked the gallante? The scope had a clip of heavy fighting on the surface of the planet. That would seem to indicate that it would at least start off as a FW thing.

They're going to have to have something that will give people action instead of logging in and finding all is quiet on the 0.0 front and no alliance needs the service of a dust team. FW would fit the bill and get the playerbase up while people figure out the mechanics of it in eve and what it can do for them.

Doubt they'll be doing a PC one. Actually, since CCP like doing one world stuff, if they release it for PS3 and Xbox will PS3 users be able to play against Xbox users? Is it even possiable?

If they did a PC version you'd probably see PC only corps being formed.
