Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bring it back to whoever replaced the wheel bearing. Maybe he damaged the rack or something.

WYNN's Powersteering stop leak stuff is designed to beef up rubbers in the rack that have got old and hard. I would doubt this is your problem as the leak is too much. I would say its a loose pipe or damaged pipe that is causing the leak.
What is grinding ? the wheel bearing or the rack? or is the pump whining because there is no fluid in it? Not good for the pump to be running without fluid i would think.

fill with fluid and turn steering lock to lock a few times to get the fluid in & the air out.
See does this stop the noising.
Im afraid it is possoble that your mechanic did some damage to the steering system. I also hate steering leaks as they can be very hard to fix. In your case however with such a fast leak, there is a major fault and will be easy spotted.
