well, ive decided to make a purchase.
Im thinking of a Korg MicroX,but also liking the MicroKorg XL.

I like to make techno, and also enjoy making Jungle,i obviously have an MPC for sampling and and for drums etc.but i am really unsure as to what i want to purchase next.

i am a fan of Pads, and love some of the pads i saw being played on Youtube, dudes giving demos of the MicroX's capabilities.

MicroX is still premium priced, yet a couple of years old.....

where as the MicroKorg XL is relatively new,and could have some cuting edge sounds.for live use aswell, they both would be killer....

    anyone got any ideas?
i ususally know what i want, but this time,im really usure.

cutting edge sounds -is this a joke! they are both toys, o take it your quite young, save your cash and buy something like these:

    http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/products/p8/

Actually i just seen this, a new product from Dave Smith, should be down around near your budget and its polyphonic, a mini prophet they are saying, sweet,im tempted myself!

    Hi,

I Ended up buying the MicroKorg XL,just to let you know.

    its sick.

I had a look at those links you posted, some interesting stuff I have to say....
the last link looks like a nice product http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/products/tetra/
kind of reminds me of the DSI MoFo.

you see space is an important factor for me,Im at the stage now where im looking to save on space, and just wanted to have a look into smaller products,as i said the Korg MicroX and MicroKorgXL,basically just a small synth that just analogue modelling.

Both of those products i mentioned have some beautiful strings, and pads which are perfect for Jungle and Detroit Techno.Full analoguos synths arent really what im going for.And I dont have the means to start making my own pads (at the moment...) i want the pads already made for me.to put it quite bluntly....ah well sure.

I 'had a quick go" of the MicroX and noticed there are quite a lot of acoustic style PCM's (guitars and harps) and i really wasnt really feeling them to be honest.

"Young" Im not sure if i am or not, what constitutes young?
