    Hi guys,

I have to get off at Blanchardstown north around here
    horrible long google maps link

Can anyone tell me what the best bus is to get that will get me near this location? I think the 38A goes that way but don't know if it stops near or if there is a better bus or if it always goes that way as best I remember it can take different routes at times.

    Any help appreciated.

38 and 38A will pass by there in peak hours (see the buses that operate via Ballycoolin Ind Estate in the timetable). The 38C passes there on all services.

The 40D and all other 38A buses will drop you equi-distantly from there (40D on Ballycoolin Road and 38A at Blackcourt Road).

Cool other question is does anybody know how to get google maps to display this information?

Sometimes it seems to and other times it doesn't so I don't know how I get it up when it does appear.

Oh and how long will it take to get there from Blanchardstown town. If I get the 25 past 2 bus would I be there by 3? Previous bus is a lot earlier and I'd be hanging around for an hour or two.

You could walk it from Blanchardstown village in about 20/30 mins I'd say.

If I'm coming from Maynooth what is the best way to intersect with that route.

I think take train to Clonsilla and get 39 to Blanchardstown shopping centre (does it still go there?) and then get the 238

Yep that would be your best way! There's a bus stop just after the roundabout at the Institute of Technology which you could get off at. The next bus stop is after the roundabout at the top of the road.

Or even walk from the centre - probabaly 15 mins at a reasonable pace. 238 isn't the most regular service and (eventually) gets to Ballycoolin road via Mulhuddart.

Yeah if its not raining that will probably be my plan.

Otherwise I might just get a taxi from the centre out if it is raining and keep me dry.

There is also the 236 circular service that operates every 15 minutes from Blanchardstown SC in the morning and evening rush hour .

Mornings (anti-clockwise via Blanchardstown Road South, Ballycoolin Ind Estate, Ballycoolin Road and Blanchardstown North):

    Every 15 minutes from 07:15 to 09:45

Evenings (clockwise via Blanchardstown North, Ballycoolin Road, Ballycoolin Ind Estate and Blanchardstown Road South)

    Every 15 minutes from 16:15 to 18:30
