Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

Im trying to sell my Mazda Mx3 and have advertised it on a few sites, including the infamous one Carzone.

I have had an inquiry about it. Im not sure, though, if its a scam. Appreciate any feedback you can give.

Query from a Dennis Hopkins Autos

Asking me is the car still for sale? I reply yes, he asks for last price, then rephrases nearest price I'll accept. I tell him the price and he sends me this email
I think i can afford that. Mode of payment will be a cheque or a banker draft depending on your preference which will usually take 3 to 5 working days to clear at your bank. I am willing to wait till it clears before any pickup will be made

    Do send me your details.
    Name:
    Address:
    Phone Number:

I ask why he wants to buy a car without viewing it first and he replies:

I wont be able to come for the viewing for the car as i am on a business trip at the moment but i am willing to send your details to my bank to make payment via bank draft to you for to clear at your bank. Afterwards i will send someone for the pickup.

    I hope you understand.

I ask him for a phone number to discuss, and I get this reply:

the car will be going to Ireland... but i am located in London. You can call me on ++447536999854 so we can discuss.

    Is this a scam????
