Take Away

Hey, I just recieved a take away from a well known branch in Dublin.
I was half way through eating my food when i found a small sharp metal wire.
The delivery man is returning in the next 10 minutes for different reasons though.
Realisticlly, what are my options?

Option One:

Beat Delivery Man to death, take all his stuff

Option 2:

I'm from Limerick, never really been beyond option 1...

Take a picture of the wire. Tell delivery man or ring take-away, give back the take-away plus wire and see what happens. They should give you your money back or even more.

I remember finding only one malteser in a packet before, and disgusted I returned the packet to the company, who in turn refunded me with a few packets. Being 10 at the time it was thrilling!

Threaten to inform the Health & Safety Authority of your finding. Make them pay you some compensation at least.

Pity you didnt buy it in new york or london...you won't have had any need to play the lotto anymore....but seriously just throw it away and order another...A lot of folks just cook their own food these days...just thinking economically on your behalf!

What ever you do, don't give them the piece of metal or the food you found it in.
Keep it and take The Economist's advice.

Get another take away or your money back. Don't go milking it for everything you can get. You weren't hurt, thank God. Just don't order from them again.

Is finding the wire relevant to the food you were eating? Otherwise people in this thread are giving you completely useless advice!

What if the OP is saying something along the lines of "I was eating an ice cream, and found a tenner",

Maybe he's just really excited about finding the wire, and wated to share the excitement?
