Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I wanto buy my first car soon. I'm a tall male in my mid 20s. I would preferably prefer a hatchback just because I dont think I'd be as able with a saloon etc. I am willing to pay approx. 7,000-9,000 euros. The only car I've been driving previously in a Golf. I'm confused about which car to get as everyone is either saying- that car is too girly, bad brand, etc etc. Can anyone recommend? PS, I like sleek cars! I was looking at Autotrader and some cars are just plain ugly!:pac:

The Golf is a great car..
    Stick with what you know,

I have a focus, nice car, only problem is the engine is a PSA design, which means it's french, so I want to get rid of it before it starts acting rubbish like everything else the french make. I had a leak in the crankshaft within the 1st month and it was covered under manurfactures warranty..Dam frog engine

How about an Audi A3? I'm in the same boat as yourself. Looking for a 2nd hand car but I don't really like too many. The VW Golf, Ford Focus. I really like the Audi A3 but one of my mates thinks it's a girls car. I don't think so at all. I have a similar budget to OP.

You're driving one of the best and most reliable diesel engines around lad to be honest.

OP, if you like the Golf it wouldn't be the worst choice. A3, Leon, Octavia are the same car underneath if any of those interest you. A Ford Focus would be a good choice and there are loads out there for sale too. They are generally very reliable and nice to drive
