Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know where in Dublin to get a mid-price-range navy or black trouser suit, light, washable, preferably with a natural waistline - have tried M&S, Dunnes, Next, Debenhams, usual boutiques with no luck - the few they have aren't great. Bought the last few in Dunnes & was quite pleased with them, but Dunnes have suddenly stopped stocking suits altogether - wonder why - does noone have to wear suits in work any more ? Any guidance appreciated.

Haven't bought any suits lately, but I did see Dunnes, Henry Street had some suits on first floor last week - with some nice fitted blouses. Maybe it's just the brances you tried? Also, Wallis are usually Ok for standard black suits.

I got some great suits in Wallis a while ago. They still look as good as new. I also buy them off ebay and haven't been disappointed.

I just bought two of Tesco's suits... Total spend €30 :)

Black jacket and trousers €15 for both

Brown/houndstooth jacket and trousers €15 for both

Don't know how long the offer is on for but well worth the price!

There are currently 3 suits in Dunnes, one black, one grey (they're the same, €15 trousers, I think the jacket is €25?), and a cheaper quality navy one, the trousers are €9 and I think the jacket is €15. You are correct though in that several times a year there are no suits in Dunnes and the amount of suits stocked is less than it used to be, more an emphasis on work trousers really. Maybe you're going to small Dunnes- try the flagships.

Thanks a million folks for all the advice. It's true there are a few suits about but unfortunately not many in size 16 ! Definitely a lot less in all shops than in previous years, than in my lifetime actually ! ! Yes, Wallis did used to stock them but they also say they aren't really doing them any more. Perhaps the buyers think suit-wearing women have all vanished - I would have thought there'd be a steady demand for boring classic everyday items in these difficult times for retailers ! Even in online catalogues there's very little selection. Strange, really.
