you are probably the same kind of person who goes to a nightclub to buy drinks to pour them all into a bottle & drink at home.

when I used to work at the bar in a nightclub, on r'n'b night, we used to get lots of customers who'd buy a bottle of bud and fill it up with water in the toilets over and over again. only ever happenned on r'n'b night.

OP, I can guarantee you that you will see alot more of this in the future with the availability of wi-fi access nearly in every pub, hotel and restaurant. I saw 2 guys in Mc Donalds sitting in the corner with there laptops on. It's no big deal in my eyes. Facebook rules BTW

Can we just ban them from coffee shops?

Are you joking OP? Lets get this straight, somebody you don't know and has absolutely no impact on your life was using a laptop in a place that provided free wifi and you have an issue with this? Let some anger go and lighten up man and enjoy your drink. Nobody wants to talk to some angry stranger in pub that's moaning about laptops!

If what you say is true then the time has come for a Starbucks invasion. /Alerts the mothership

what's worse is people who are out with cameras taking loads of photos in pubs, probably for facebook. leave the cameras at home for f**k sake. It's click flash click flash all bloody night.

What is worse are f**kers having work meetings in pubs and cafes with their laptops. I don't want to hear bullsh1t buzzwords while I'm relaxing having a drink/coffee...f**k off out of it!!!:mad::mad:

twitter is the scourge of humanity.

I couldnt have said it better myself.

With the smoking ban, drink driving laws and the recession - publicans need to find ways of putting people on seats.

Why not compete with the local Coffee Shop -- Long Live competition -- Good for all of us at the end of the day.

well , she is free to do whatever she wants , and she has not broke any law or others rights, so just let her be.

    Its just my opinion.

If I've a few hours to kill, I prefer to sit in a warm pub with a cold beer and surf the web then goto a fecking coffee.

Once there good beer, internet and power I'm happy.

What's the problem with laptops in pubs? Are pubs in Ireland just exclusively for going into and getting ****faced.

Lots of people have mini meetings and presentations at their tables. If we are in the office and want a break we grab the laptop and off to the cafe or pub and discuss topics over a coffee.

yes they are, and those people are sad'ohs who should just rent a cubicle

It sound to me like your complaining more about facebook than her on the laptop. Also, ye noisy little ____, why couldn't you mind your own and not look through the window at her when you were leaving?

thats true, I ****ing can't stand facebook and the people who spend a lot of time on there.

i didn't make any noise while walking past the window

alright so i was in this pub the other day and there was this beour sitting there in a corner with a huge fecker of a laptop on her table and a drink beside it. so when I went out the door I could see through the window that she was on freaking facebook. I couldn't freaking believe it

if you're going to go on some ****astic "social" networking site in a pub you are probably the same kind of person who goes to a nightclub to buy drinks to pour them all into a bottle & drink at home.

a while back i started to think this facebook fad would be the death of people actually socialising and if this **** with carrying laptops into pubs catches on i wouldn't have been too far wrong.

twouldnt be so bad if there were a couple of dedicated Hacker's pubs where nerds turn up with laptops to show off the cool **** they can do but people facebooking in a pub is freaking retarded. and if too many people start doing it then it becomes acceptable, you try to talk to someone in a pub and they reply with "No, go away I'm facebooking. I have a life"

    what a gimp!
    haha beour!

Only ever seen one bloke on a laptop in the pub. Had a pint in front of him whilst playing in the final of the champions league with pats in football manager. Proper order :)

beour is slang word for a girl, usually attractive but not always the case.
was a popular phrase in the 90's in wexford, not sure about the rest of the country!
