Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sligo is a beautiful county,I woudn't want to live anywhere else really. Stunning scenery. The town itself is a kip tho..can be a rough aul spot too. Don't like it at all. I live in the countryside tho so all good. :)

Foundry is a grand place for a night out alright. Been years since I've been there though.

The Foundry...Carlow's number 1 tourist attraction.

My OH is from Carlow so spent a bit of time in it a few years back, Sunday's with entry into The Foundry/Tower/and other part I can't remember used to be great. Although getting the early bus back to Dublin for work on Monday morning wasn't so great.

Was talking to a mate the other day and he said it's pretty dead now except for students on Thursdays.

There was another club called The Edge that I found better than The Foundry, don't know if it's still open but that was a decent place

The edge has closed down, reopened and changed names about 10 times now.

Good pubs down in Carlow are Med bar, The barracks, Carpe Diem and maybe Dinn ri to a lesser extent. If you're looking for a mad one and don't mind a few Johnos knocking around Scraggs is the place to be.

Haven't been to the Foundry in years but everyone thats not from Carlow raves about it. Having the tower and the foundry open together can be good craic

Yeah Scraggs was the business when i lived in town 14/15 years ago. Still end up in it every now and again :o

Cant stand the Med, tbh. but the Barracks is a right spot altogether - does be a right good night of a sunday.
    Mondays suck though.

Ok, so having watched Breaking Bad from start to fining recently I can sort of understand why I would have a dream where I'm abducted by Gus Frings men and threatened to be killed etc etc. It's kind of random, but standard enough considering it was a dream.

However, the bit I can't understand is when I found the opportunity to call someone for help, I scrolled through my contacts and decided the best person to call would be Paul Scholes.

    That was a strange one.

Understandable really. Even Gus Frings would know there is a hit coming from Scholes at some stage, he'd just be living in fear of when and how late it would be.

And people say he can't tackle. Guaranteed, Scholes knows exactly what he is doing in every tackle he makes ;)

I'm doing reasonably good so far. My bet of the week was Hurricane Fly. I had him backed Antepost and had a lump on yesterday so I'm happy out now :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭Will I Amnt

    Didn't bet on anything yesterday.
Pont Alexandre and Sprinter Sacre in a double for today.
Don't bet on horses much but for the week that's in it sure I might as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

I think everyone had Hurricane Fly backed yesterday, had 50 on him myself, happy out with it.

Have a small stake on a double today of Back in Focus & Port Alexandre as well as a 50cent E/W Accum on every race, cant remember who I have on it but the 50 cent was evening out my Balance so threw it down for a laugh, I'm not expecting anything back from it.

If I still have the original 50 quid I started with at the end I'l be doing well I reckon. :pac:

First bets laid today(small time gambler). 25cents each way lucky 15 - €7.50.
Three of the four horses placed. Return - €18.62.

Won't be retiring soon but I'm ðelighted. :D

2006 Cheltenham was the best meeting I ever had and most likely ever will

    Noland 6/1
    Dun Daoire 7/1
    Hairy Molly 33/1
    Hot Weld 33/1
    Kaduoun 50/1
    Black Jack Ketchum Evs
    War of Attrition 8/1
    Wyso Mayo 20/1

I had 9 winners in 2003 but only 2 at big prices. That was super meeting for the punter.

Dont back horse anymore though unless get tip.

The difference is? Is it a docking station charges it as well or what?

I don't really know, I'd like a decent one that would last. Theres a really nice one on Argos but its 90 odd euro, considering it.

Well docking stations are limited to just ipods (maybe other apples products?). Speakers can be used with anything with a 3.5mm jack.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Yea, most docking stations will charge it. I got a 100w Bush docking station in Argos for €85. Some whack out of it.
The Gear4 ones get good reviews on Amazon, you can pick them up for cheap enough there. Seen them reasonably priced in Tesco too.

You're a genius. I never thought to look online, found the one I was looking at for 30 odd pound on amazon. :D
