Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I managed to get my results and not drink myself into an embarrassing state while still having a blast.

    Congrats copper.

I just made up a game you can play. 3 cans for every 100 points you get. Round up from 50.

12 cans for you tonight. Enjoy.

I'm not what you'd call a big user of twitter - but had a nice little exchange with Sonia O Sullivan (yeah, her!!!) this morning.

Said earlier in this thread that I consider her a hero of mine, and it may be trivial to some, but i'm chuffed with it!! :)

Exactly this lads - maybe too much emphasis put on LC..

The most successful person I went to school with got a stinker of a leaving cert, remember him being devestated the day of the results.

Think he has about 50-odd people working for him now....

    Actually I've a similar story.

Went to school with a girl, nice girl, very friendly, always pleased to see you but a bit mad, didn't even do her leaving cert, dropped out of school after 3rd year, though it was boom time so there were a lot of opportunities then.

Well to cut a long story short, a good few years back I saw her on the bus, she was smartly dressed, got talking to her and found out she had a kid and was on her way to the four courts, she got 3 years for setting some girls hair on fire.

Moral of the story, don't under estimate the leaving, you fail that, you fail life!

P Diddy retweeted me once when he was asking people to send him pictures of them holding a Ciroc bottle (his vodka). I went to google and looked for an amateur looking photo of someone holding a bottle. Diddy got played.

Dara O'Briain retweeted me once when he asked how he looked in a photo and I just said "Gay.....as usual" and then once told me go fuck myself when I made some joke about him and England.
    .
    We have a complicated relationship.

I used to play in a band back in the 80s. We were playing in some pub out in Dalkey one night and I noticed a tall dark figure at the back of the crowd who looked familiar, but couldn't quite make him out in the low light.

Anyway it turned out it was Phil Lynott! Met him after the gig and had a few drinks and a chat with him. He was a bit of a hero of mine at the time so I couldn't believe my luck.

Ha ha. I seen that tweet. Was only a couple of weeks ago :D

edit - On twitter. Michael Kenneth Williams (Omar from the Wire) followed me for a while. Don't think he was a United fan though. Didn't stick around too long. :pac:

Also had a few tweets off of Robert Patrick of T1000 fame. Nice lad.

Just finished season 4 of breaking bad, brilliant!

That could have been the last episode really, they don't end it with a cliff hanger to make people watch season 5.

Yeah just a few weeks ago. I was being a bit of a smart-arse so I probably deserved it :D

A friend met Stateside in a steam room at a gym a year ago. He walked up to him bollock naked with his hand out and said "you probably know me from the telly". It freaked me mate out a bit. Said he was very odd.

Isn't it savage? You have only ten episodes left to catch up and then it's the torture of waiting a week for an episode.

I was gonna try to save up the last eight episodes and watch them all together but it would be impossible to avoid spoilers I think.

Brilliant programme. Enjoy the rest of it.

    It really is!

It could have ended there with
Gus and most of his guys out of the picture, not to mention the Cartell all dead
, I really don't see how season 5 can go on unless
Mike comes back and tries to kill Walt and Jesse, or Jesse finds out that Walt manipulated him and things kick off there
    .

I'll probably wait a while before starting season 5, waiting a week to find out what happens would kill me after watching 4 seasons in the space of 3 or 4 weeks.

Might start The Wire sometime this week, all I hear is good things about it.

I won't say anything about what you've spoilered there but I will say you won't be disappointed :D

You haven't seen The Wire yet either? Now you're just making me jealous. Another unreal show.

I started watching Justified lately. Well worth a watch as well. Nearly gave up after the first couple of episodes cos I didn't like it much but it's well worth sticking with.
