Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I thought last season had enough twists and turns to scare anyone off making such big predictions. There'll be even more this year IMO.

From what I've seen Voronin is much improved. spell in germany has obviously done him some good.

    Nope.

It was pretty much over from the off for the pool.

It's just been buried I'm afraid

I'm a MU fan and I still feel Liverpool can challenge but they need to bring in new players to add decent players to the squad.

SG and Torres will get injured sometime and Liverpool will pay for it if there is no depth.

Should have got Barry instead of injured Aquilani.

He crushed over there last year to be fair to him. Was a huge part of an unfancied club's title challenge.

I hadn't realised we hadn't lost whenever Torres scored. Maybe he really is the new Rushie (Damn ye for that league cup final though Arsenal). Then again utd hadn't lost at home when Ronaldo had scored either, and look how that turned out.

    All runs end I guess.

    Sigh.

Getting rid of Keane and Crouch was just suicidal, absolutely shocking when you look at our bench.

Have they got the funds though? They need a few solid squad players desperately.

If this ends in a Pool defeat I hope the posts on here are nice and not "no comment" , "lmao" and "f**kin delighted for yee shower" posts.

    Only 3 games in lads!

some perspective people. Its only a loss. Burnley beat United. They could get a result against chelsea and arsenal could beat united this weekend. Its still too early to be counting teams out of the title.

Torres should have done better with that, well worked opportunity.

And then a very good save from Friedal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,496 ✭✭✭quarryman

    Friedel has been excellent.

Babel shouldn't be allowed to touch the ball outside the box.

Has the potential to be a decent squad player I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,692 ✭✭✭Dublin_Gunner

Ugh, closed the stream, can't look at it anymore.

Babel - not exactly an impact player. Why leave Riera on the bench??

Ah I don't know. No excuses, its like the season before last, have all the ball, but forget what to do with it in the final third.

    vorinin is awful

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 308 ✭✭Tyranax

Best thing about Voronin is his ponytail, makes him look like yer man out of Coyote Ragtime Show. But as a footballer he's just so slow. He's not up to Liverpool's standard I think.

Congrats Villa, capitalized very well on getting the lead in that manner. Defended stoutly in the second half, some great plays all over the pitch. Good win, and could be key in pushing ye on over the next couple of months.

A big big blow to Liverpool's title hopes this season. Full credit to Villa though, they deserved it.
