With subsidies and a big marketing push by someone like Carphone Warehouse, they might sell a few of these, but I don't think many people are going to pay €570 for a laptop with those specs.

For example, here's an Acer Aspire One with almost the same specs for €289: http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=477421

Edit: The Acer actually has a larger hard drive: 160GB vs the Nokia's 120GB.

This will have to be heavily subsidised for it to be competitive. Even then the mobile operators could subsidise a cheaper netbook of similar specs and sell those. They'd be able to subsidise it less than the nokia and it would still be cheaper. E.g. They could take a €300 acer/asus and subsidise it €100 making it €200 or take the nokia at €570 and subsidise it €270 making it €300. What would you do in their shoes? I doubt it would be the nokia.

Ugh, dig a little deeper, the tech. is very.. Nokia. Nice style, at a price. No upgradeable HD or Ram. HD is rather slow, 1.8inch.

Battery is 57Wh so their 12 hour claim is not happening in real life..

No RAM or HDD upgrade.. HDD is slow 1.8 incher..

1.5Ghz Z530 won't run Aero on W7... nor HQ fullscreen Youtube..

    Price: €575 = $810

Slashgear should have videos up soon...
