I'd love that! Where abouts are you based?

    Limerick!

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

    Ah =/

Any chance you'll be in Dublin soon? :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 552 ✭✭✭Gadge

I don't think so. I have a family member that comes down every month or so. I'm sure he's due a visit though. If no-one complains I can hang onto it til then.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

No probs, feel free to pass it on to any Limerick folk for the time being :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

Actually was just working out postage costs (by weighing my own gamecube :P) and it shouldn't be too much, if you were willing to post and I pay for it. Feel free to say no if you wouldn't be able to!

How much do you reckon it'd cost?

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

    €7.50 - €15. It should weigh about 2 or 2.5 kg

You can calculate postage here http://postage.anpost.ie/

  • Registered Users Posts: 552 ✭✭✭Gadge

Okay, if you're happy with that I'll pack it up and post it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

Are you sure? I'll drop you a PM with my address :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 552 ✭✭✭Gadge

As long as you will get use out of it I'm happy to post it.

I have EDGE issues ~104 (circa 2004) all the way up to last month's issue. There are a few missing, but there's still a hefty amount there. Collection only, not splitting. Free to a good home.
I'd be interested in these if they're still availible :).

Just listing a few things, see if there would be any interest in any of these:

    Playstation:
    Driver 2
    Gran Turismo 2
    Metal Gear Solid
    Puchi Carat (x2)
    Ridge Racer Type 4
    Space Invaders
    V-Rally

    Playstation 2:
    XIII
The Urbz: Sims in the City

    Dreamcast:
Jet Set Radio (Complete, disk a bit marked but works)
    MSR (Complete)
Sega Rally (Disk and manual only)

Cases on all 3 above have broken hinges on the front cover; I'd normally just glue them to the front.

Also have 2x Planet Ring in regular CD cases, just for collectors really, I don't think you can do anything offline on it.

    Also have a selection of DreamOn demo disks, both disks with slim CD case and sleeve (Volumes 2, 4, 5, 6, 7(2), 9, 10, 13(2),15, 16, 21, 22) and disks only (1(3), 6, 11, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22). Also a DreamKey disk as well.

Also, have the manual, front and back covers for 18 Wheeler and Plasma Sword, if anyone has the disk only of these games. No cases with these.

Finally, have 3 Cube magazines, No.1 including the videocassette, and No's 11 and 12.

I have a GD-ROM unit that works, but the disk rotor is a little low, and disks get marked, so far from ideal. I never did look at it to see if it could be adjusted out, but will have a look over the weekend if you're interested in doing a Frankenstein with weeders DC.

Well I'm just after getin a PM about one now, so if i can get that cheap enough I'll take ti, otherwise I might go Dr Frankenstein on this

Yes; I had a look at it yesterday, and have it working perfectly now. The part that holds the disk was pushed down on the motor spindle. I took it apart, levered off the disk holder and put it on again at the height it should have been.

Are you looking for a gdrom unit? I have a working gdrom board from another (abused) DC, had it swapped into a working unit yesterday, and it's 100%. There is a problem with the stepper motor on the upper part that was with it, I haven't looked at it in much detail yet, all I know is that it makes a knocking noise when it tries to move, so the stepper may just be loose, and maybe grinding or skipping the gears.

i need the board and the upper part, both are buggered
