Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone.

    I have a latop - a compaq/hp laptop

Yesterday, i plugged it in at the wall to charge it, and turned it on (just as i always do)

Anyway about five mins later just as i was opening up the internet the screen just went black and the charging light went off.

Now my laptop seems to be dead, no light to indicate charging and the whole thing just wont turn on?

Like is it broken - for good??

Is there a light on the charger to verify that is working? also did you try some other piece of equipment in the same wall socket?
Sometimes it help to remove the battery and try to power up without it in and then re-seat it after a power down

Take out battery and start it with it in the mains. Do you see a light on your charger. Perhaps your powersupply/transformer is after giving up and the battery is just dead.
