Have stayed in The Slieve Russell a few times. Its a great hotel with nice rooms and good food. Only thing its a bit isolated and about 30 mins from a good sized town. There is a village nearby with a few nice pubs though.

    Ballyconnell!

Slieve Russell is a great hotel. Complete with a country club featuring a good gold course and a lovely swimming pool.

    Good food too.

Is a bit far from the next big town, but Ballyconnell is a grand spot.

Just back, was a great hotel.

The dinner (about 50 euro each) was the best dinner I've had in a long time.

Cavan was a lovely area imo.
