    Selection 1 S Gerrard Anytime Scorer 7/5 €2 LOST
    Selection 2 Atletico -1.0, €2 @ evens WON
    Selection 3 Portsmouth (-1.0) @ evens €2 WON

    Next Bet €4 on ..?

Well if you want to follow the original structure you would just get rid of the gerrad bet now since thats a loser and means nothing anymore. So thats attempt 1 over.

Then you have made two £2 bets which would be attempt 2 and 3. Since you won both you now should be looking for 2 bets that you can place £4 on each. So it would look something like

    Attempt 2
    Bet 1 Atletico -1.0, €2 @ evens WON
    Bet 2 £4 on ???

    Attempt 3
    Bet 1 Portsmouth (-1.0) @ evens €2 WON
    Bet 2 £4 on ???

I'm in the same situation as you except i'm on bet 3. I'll be posting my selections tomorrow afternoon once I check the matches if you want to wait till then.

I saw a thread on another forum, with a system a little similar to this. Although it had elements of martingale.

    The guy used stakes of x, 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 12.5x so total possible loss of 33.5 points. He started with €10, so his stakes were predetermined as: €10, €20, €40, €60, €80, €125 (max loss: 335.00).

He would have his first €10 on a bet between 8/11 and 5/4. If it lost the next bet would be €20. If the second bet won he would add the winnings to his account, and revert back to €10 for the next bet.

    e.g. bet 1 - €10 @ Evens lost; -10
    bet 2 - €20 @ 10/11; wins 18.18 - 10, so 8.18 added to bank.
    next bet is bet 1 again - €10 @ 4/5 etc.

At one stage he had 108 bets, with only 59 winning (54% SR), but was 600+ in profit.

Im going to give this a go here if thats ok?

Recession buster IMO . i know what im doing tomorrow

how long did it take him to do the 108 bets. with the right disipline and a bit of betting savvy hard to see this method being a loser tbh

*slaps own head* i have located the thread and noticed that he is backing 2 outcome events e.g. Draw no bet, baseball, tennis, overs/unders, etc. although he seemed to strictly start out with between 10/11 and 19/20 (1.91 - 1.95) bets.

    Hence my bad start!! ;)

He started on the 28th december and lost it all after 118 bets on 20th february, admitedly from bad selection, possibly greed ;).

Best of luck Tony if you try it.

his bets seemed to be a bit redic, if you did it with footie and horses would be better id say . might give it a go at micro stakes for a few days to see how it goes and commit a bit more if proving successful . one thing comes to mind tho. IF IT WAS THAT EASY WE WOULD ALL BE AT IT

Anyone betting on Baseball, I tried that for a while came out about even but noticed a few trends. Favs -1.5 runs get turned over more than they win, and lots of them win by 1. One of the bets that is up a lot is the home team to score first. It is priced between 5/6 and Evensbecause the visitors bat first but it had 60-70% strike rate in the games I watched. And the most obvious is the starting pitchers, the rest of the game is a lottery.

    Just something to read.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martingale_(betting_system)#Alternate_Mathematical_analysis_of_a_single_round

Betting systems dont make any difference in the long run. Its worth a read because this betting system is the quickest way to go broke.

I just had a quick look through that thread on the other site and that system looks good. Might give it a go myself. It would be good if someone could start up a thread here on this system for a bit of fun to see how they'd get on.

    Selection 1

    Wigan to beat Blackpool 2 @ 1/1

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,135 ✭✭✭fifth

Considering Wigan tonight myself.. or maybe Newcastle -1 against Huddersfield although it might be dodgy. Anything else look good for the challenge tonight?

Theres also Arsenal -1.0v celtic @ evens.. Hmm

Actually, I made a few bob the other night on live betting in running, I might hang on and watch and see how Arsenal/Wigan play tonight and hop in later on.
