    Hey

Thinking of going to Vegas in January and looking at the bellagio.

What is the Poker Room like there?

I'm looking to play 1/2 or 4/8 NL holdem - is Bellagio OK?

Should I look to stay elsewhere?

    Thanks
    Paul

I only played one cash session there, 1-2 no limit but was capped at $200 that was my mistake i should of played higher, found the game pretty boring.

As for the room itself its very nice, i thought for the size of the casino's that the poker rooms were very small, one of the guys running the 1-2 was a gormless cúnt not very helpful whatsoever.

Was good thou that you could look into Bobbys Room and see how you could spot playing the big game :)

Im sure some of the other lads wil be along soon with better reports than mine, if you do go best of luck.

I find the Venetian much nicer and has a better selection of games. Plus get a loyalty card and you get decent food comps even if only there for a few days.

We're going there in December and decided to stay in the MGM based on both recomendations from friends and reviews online that it was one of the best card rooms in the city.

A bit cheaper than the Bellagio too, plus the tigers...

I only played Venetian, Caesars and Rio - Venetian best imo - really nice place, lots of tables, free drinks (this goes for all 3), very soft 1-2 game based on playing 3 different tables over 3 sessions

Played in Bellagio, venetian, Rio and MGM while i was there in June. Stayed in Bellagio. Was defo worth it. Is centrally located to everywhere and poker room is great if a bit cramped.

They only spread 2 tables of 1/2 normally, so can be waiting up to an hour for a seat.

Nice to be next to bobby's room as well.

By all means stay at the Bellagio, it doesn't mean you have to play there. I find the room slightly annoying and the there just isn't enough room at the tables. I didn't realise they even spread 1/2 there. As said the Venetian card room is great. Also wtf at 4/8 NL?

Waitresses at the Wynn are the hottest but its 1/3NL there, then Venetian, avoid Caesars if you like hot waitresses.

    Lions actually...

The MGM room is ok, but for me the top room in Vegas is the Venetian.

They have a different hiring procedure afaik, equal opportunities etc.
Other casinos, hire "entertainers who also serve drinks" and need to be able to podium dance from time to time. So no fuglies.

Plantet Hollywood is right in the middle of the strip and as its own poker room last time I was there, but its a short walk to the Bellagio and the Vention and the MGM and the rooms were really nice with plenty of food options.

Best poker rooms is the Venition with MGM 2nd and the Bellagio if you want to play higher stakes or against better players etc.

Monte Carlo have a handful of 1/2 games which are pretty loose and crazy. 2/5 is also avilable. Only a 5 min walk from The Bellagio.

Ballys (opposite The Bellagio) also has a regular game of 1/2.

MGM has regular 1/2 & 2/5 as does The Wynn.

I'm staying in this hotel in November and I'll be looking to play some cash every night there. Are there plenty of 1/2 and 2/5 tables going ya?

They have move the poker room since the last time I was there and it didn't seem to get much traffic, mainly low buy-ins and a few tourneys. But the poker rooms in Vegas move around very quickly. Its a good location for all the hotels as its central and I actually really like staying there, brilliant rooms and great bathrooms etc. I sayed in the MGM in 2006 and I would never stay there again, but they had a great poker room. Rates are brilliant at the moment for Vegas too.

The Bellagio only has 2/5 nlh really, capped at $500 buy in as far as i can remember. They have a great 5/10 game there.you might get 1 or 2 1/2 nlh games but their games are mainly 2/5.venetian is prob the best alright with more of a variety and their 12pm daily deepstack tourney is great(150 buy in i think)Make sure you bring ID everywhere cos otherwise you cant play the tourneys.I found that out when trying to play above tourney and had to leg it back to bellagio for my passport:)))Caesers palace have good tourneys too, their cash games are mainly 1/2nlh,while they only ever had 1 2/5 table when i was there, lovely poker room too.

Don't forget that the Venetian Deep Stack series is on in Nov, should increase the poker room traffic somewhat. Myself and a few of the lads are heading over to play a couple of events.
