    Hi all,

Moved out the country and have an eircom line that is broadband ready.

Now I need guidance on what's the best package out there right now, including free calls, wireless router, bandwidth etc. Looking to spend around €50 per month.

    Cheers

Most of the packages have an emphasis on a specific portion of the "bundle" what's most important - bb, router, free calls, free mobile calls.
Most bundles for circa €50 are only offering 1Mbps or 3Mbps BB @ 48:1 contention so if BB is important I'd drop some of the bundled call packages and look for a BB and line or wireless BB only.

If on the other hand its the calls that are important and not the BB then Perlico, eircom etc are all ofering the same BB but different packages depending on what mobiles you want to call - Meteor or Vodafone etc.

Perhaps the OP should stay with eircom.

Question-do resellers of eircoms services such as perlico add anything to these services? or is just eircoms services under a new price?

vodafone home seems the cheapest and best at the moment. Im on a 7mb package with off peak calls and 200mins to any vodafone customer off peak for 48e a month. 60gb download limit.

How fast is this connection during the day though? Can you stream youtube?

during the day its probably okay its between 18:30 and 21:30 that you may find a problem.

Vodafone / BT's 7.6Mbps service is 12:1 not the 7.1Mbps 48:1 service offered by many of the other resellers. It also has a better upload.
