Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering does anyone know anything about the DB Rambler 30 Day Adult Ticket? I would be coming from Skerries to Dublin City.

Is this ticket as good as it seems? The DB website suggests that it can be used for 30 non consecutive days. So could I travel Return from Skerries to Dublin City 30 random days per year for €100?

That's incredible value if it's right.

    Thanks

You are spot on - probably the best value in town for irregular users of the bus!

EUR 3.33 per day and you can use as many buses as you like on any of those days!

But surely that works out better value than a normal monthly ticket (€98).

It'll definitely be the best value for me until Irish Rail sort out the bridge nonsense.

    Cheers

Can you use it on Xpress routes? like the 84x?

Yes, Rambler tickets are valid on Xpresso services and even on the Airport express Airlink services too.

    All correct.

They are very good. The do expire though. From memory I think you only have TWO YEARS to use them up. :D:D

Will double check that in work tomorrow.

Expiry depends on the batch date.
There will be at least 12 months on the current stock with some now showing May 2011 as expiry date.

Any half regular Bus User who continues to ignore these tickets should be levied a €5 per journey wake-up charge......

    Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone know is there any way to tell how many journeys you've taken with one of these, (Other than counting your trips is there any way?)

My train ticket only lasted a few weeks before the strip got corrupted. How would a situation like that work with these tickets?

Cheers - I'm a bit clueless when it comes to the bus:confused:

These tickets are smartcards - when you hold it up to the smartcard reader the display will show you how many days that you have left on the card.
