    hello,

we are moving to the Roscahill area soon and would be driving into work in Mervue for 8 o clock in the morning.
Do you think we would encounter a build up of traffic leaving Roscahill at 7.20 and returning from Mervue at 5.00? We did a few test runs in the evening and traffic doesnt seem to build in Moycullen until around six.

We were also thinking of changing our work times to 7.30-4.30. Would this help?

    Any replies appreciated :) Thanks!

The change would help, the mornings are usually fine before 8 all year in Galway but the traffic in Mervue/Quincentennial bridge is the pits from 5-7

And newcastle really clogs up when the university opens in 3 weeks .

I travel from Oughterad to parkmore, via Barna. I leave at 7.35-7.30 and am in work at 8.15ish...so you should be find. as long as your through moycullen for 7.50 you will be sound. traffic very light that time of morning.

Evenings are never the same...can be ok, can be bad. Will be worse when schools are back.

Not so much that there is heavy thick traffic, its just very very slow moving.
As long as they don't start roadworks, you'll be fine!
Travel both mornings and evenings from Oughterard to Galway and have never had any MAJOR traffic disasters, unless there were roadworks.
Mornings are generally OK, its Dangan/Bushy Park/Newcastle that slow up the whole process.

Just be sure you've planned your route from Glenlo Abbey to work in the mornings, because its Galway City that will catch you out.
