Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,
Just wondering has any one used one of the Topside Oil changers, or anything like them? If so, what are they like, and where can you can get them?

    Thanks

Had to google to see what they were here's a link of a review of one
    http://www.kk.org/cooltools/archives/001299.php

He seems to say it is good, personally I'd wonder a bit if it would get out as much sludge as draining would. Plus I kinda like to whole jacking up the car to drain the oil, its a bit of excitment in my life.

Still I can imagine its a good tool for those who might not be able to get under car.

I have a simular type of vacuum device. It does not suit all makes of cars. Mine works well with mercedes and vw but won't work with the wifes toyota corolla. Some dip stick tubes don't go all the way to the bottom of the sump.

You still need a drip tray to change the oil filter in most cases.

Any motor factors would have these at this stage Id say. Top side oil changer is a very american sounding name. They are generally called oil extractors or dip stick extractors
