Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd say buy/borrow a DVD recorder, hooked directly to the VCR... hit play + record, walk away, come back and get your DVD... no screwing around, no codec-gymnastics or long transcodes to sit through.
Then if you need it on the PC, you can rip the dvd.

There are machines out there specially for that. They have vhs and dvd drives and have special options for recording the vhs directly onto the dvd and doing up the menu and so on. I know someone who has one and it worked quite well. They can be a little expensive though. Either borrow, buy second hand or as the above poster said... just hook them up together... the only bad thing is that you can't see how far along the video is and could waste dvd space...
