BT 7.6mb very slow

    Am i right in thinking the following results are rather crap for supposed 7.6mb bb??
    tested over wifi link, about 10ft from router

    Yeah, been having trouble with BT broadband for a few days. Others have found power cycling the modem to be useful although it hasn't help me

    I'm 7.6MB with BT myself and working fine for me (router - pc setup wifi)

    The problem is usually at peak times, and can last until ~midnight. hellboy99, you did your tests at 2:17-2:20am Irish time.

    It seems that a lot of us are suffering.

    My connection is really bad, dial up speed. Only happened today. Normally fine on 7.6 in Ashbourne.
    Anyone else on this exchange?

    Update:
    Unplugged then after restart changed from 192.xxx.xxx to 78.xxx.xxx and back to normal!!!!
    This old chestnut again.

    I agree with peak times being a problem, the lowest I've seen my speeds drop to over the last few weeks during peak time is round 4.6MB/s, otherwise it's between 5.4 - 6.2MB/s and after midnight 6.2 - 6.7MB/s.

    So for me, overall my speeds are very good for a 7.6MB connection :)
