Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chelsea have a tough group there. Not sure what to make of Utd's. Not the most difficult teams in the competition, but some of the most different places to play.

What makes it a different place? All the places are different! I hope Utd get Haifa or Wolfsburg but I can't even work out what's possible!

Here we go with final pot.

Standard Liege in with Arsenal, Alkmaar, Olympiacos.

Toughish last team, but still a decent group for Arsenal

Standard Liege in Group H, Arsenal laughing all the way to the knock out stages.

Sorry, I meant to write "difficult".

Speaking of difficult places, Man Utd will probably get Maccabi Haifa.

Group E Liverpool Lyon Fiorentina Debreceni

United may find Wolfsburg tough, but they should walk away with that group...

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Happy with Debrecen as 4th seed for Liverpool. Could be a tougher draw, but it is not a kind draw either. As pointed out, Utd have a lot of travelling to do, but those teams should roll over at OT, but Wolfsburg is the toughest 4th seed by far. Chelsea should have some good games, and Arse I don't even need to comment on surely :)

APOEL in with Chelsea, Porto, Atletico.

    How nice for them...

The three away matches for united will all be relatively tough now!

United walk it!? I think its tough enough group. G and H are easier groups for sure

Bit of Nazi gold for the disabled fans :)

They really need to streamline these things. Like the way the initial pomp of the lotto draws has been cut to "hi, heres the draw" then draw the balls.

I don't think Arsenal's group is as easy as people are saying. Perhaps there aren't any giants in it but all three teams are decent and would have hopes of qualifying. Chelsea's group is easier and Liverpool's group is basically three teams competing for two spots.

Pleased that United have some travelling to do though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,837 ✭✭✭abelard

Whilst I shouldn't mock the bit where they're talking about charity, someone just used the phrase "we're ensuring that the balls are accessible to all".

I laughed - immature, but there you go!

United are a rather good team and anything that makes their domestic campaign just a fraction more difficult is ok by me!

Would consider group F to be the toughest. The away matches in the Ukraine and Russia wont even be easy for Barca. Rubin Kazan might surprise some people. They are the Russian champions after all

Best ****ing competition in the world, looking at some of the games to look forward to, delighted its back.
