    Shocking Colour....

Its one of those cars that a colour can make or break ....... (IMO)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,760 ✭✭✭Theta

Looks much better then the old one imo.

Yeah would look nice in a black or cobalt grey.

The entertainment system is supposed to be very good although there are no details.

Indeed, diarrhea coloured paint doesnt help the promotion of any car!:D

http://www.netcarshow.com/saab/2010-9-5_sedan/ , for some decent pics.

Not too mad about the interior tbh. Think it looks a bit dated compared to the interior of an E-class or a 5 series Wouldnt really like the outside either really!

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Oh yeah, I like. Quirky, different, but still solid and looking quality. Like the old Saabs of the past. There's hope yet for Saab!

    Similar to the Insignia IMO.

Bit of Chrysler 300C going on there towards the back.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,660 ✭✭✭Voodoomelon

    Looks great.

    It would be!:D

Its based on it. Same diesel and 1.6turbo petrol engines. I think the Insignia is better looking though, they should have swapped them!

Not sure about the green interior lighting, its a bit sterile and "Halfords" looking.

    Aye, I gathered that.

Is the 1.6 Turbo available in Eire yet though?

Hate the way they dont allow you to embed pics too:mad:

Dont think the 1.6T is available in Ireland yet but its coming at some stage afaik

It's on the price list, but no interest in it at all. €1,800 more than the 160ps Diesel and costs €630 a year to tax.

Opel Ireland didn't bother bringing a demo in.

    Looking good

It looks exactly like the car that an American would expect to find in an IKEA catalogue (if IKEA indeed sold cars)

Still trying to make up my mind if that's a good thing or not.

That Fat rear A pillar will be great for reverse parking visibility:rolleyes:

I think its the cars worst point. Would like to see the car in black just to see what a uniform paint scheme would do for the car.

Vast improvement on the interior btw.

I don't like it. Now it looks too American, none of the old SAAB characteristics left. That said, if it was a Ford or Mazda I'd say it's very nice, very executive looking.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,740 ✭✭✭Bluefoam

It looks allot better than the previous model - but that wouldn't be difficult. I'm not gonna make my mind up on this car until I se it in the flesh... There are lots of thinks I don't like about it so far...

A-pillar and roofline are very Mini/Swift/Fabia-esque. I likies the silver one linked. Lets hope it loses value like a stone because I want one in about 3 years time

Ah Id say parking sensors are standard!

I just realized where the design inspiration came from.
