anybody have any experience of applying for a credit card without having a full time job? I have the student master card from AIB and I've never paid a bill late in 4 years, but when I called them to ask for a Visa card they said I would have to be in full time employment and show evidence of 12 months wages running thru…

Is there any difference between me holding a Visa Debit card and a Visa credit card, apart from the fact I have to have the Debit card pre loaded?
