Donabate - Malahide - City

Hi,
been lucky that I have had a few days off before I go back to work and would like to see how people have handled the commute . Reading just from Irish Rail website has been confusing (shuttle buses seem to be either a set-time or every 20 minutes ??)

So, I used to get the 7:30am train from Donabate to Tara . So, would that mean I should get the shuttle bus at 7am from Donabate to be in for the same time ?

Returning in the evening I would get the 4:45pm train from Tara to Donabate and - my best at the moment seems to get the 4:55pm to Malahide (+ shuttlebus) which gets me into Donabate about 5:45pm ??

Suddenly seems like a long day

anyone got any thoughts on that ? feel free to use this thread for any other timings for Donabate Travel

There are three 33D services starting next Monday operating from Donabate via the Port Tunnel to/from the City Centre.

The last shuttle service from Malahide to Donabate will depart at 20.20hrs

School Services
A school service at 08:00 will operate from Donabate to Malahide and Portmarnock Community Schools and will return after school hours.

How frequent is the shuttle bus over and back from Malahide to Donabate in off peak times.
I can see the dart is going to run to Malahide as normal

I've heard that the shuttle bus is only going once an hour and I've heard that the shuttle bus is linked to the darts and also that the bus only goes at quarter past the hour each hour for the whole day.


Anyone know which is the truth? If I get to Malahide at 12:45 am I going to be sitting till 1:15 to get a shuttle bus to Donabate?
