Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Three 2nds in a row.. Always seem to be well in with a chance come the 2 furlong mark, but misses on 1st. He has a solid chance to go one better.

    West Wizard 8/1 (Sandown 3.10)

Pretty sure he was pulled up between 2 and third hurdle... no luck :(

Race had a 33-1 winner, 33-1 second, 25-1 third. Bookies race!!

they are 300 yrs racing & still havnt figured out how to start races.

That happened lto with Wicklow Brave too . starter makes a balls of a start and WB never even had a chance to be put into the race.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Starter was way off there, he could have let them go no problem, too fussy. Want some limelight i reckon.

Good bumper coming up next here at sandown.

Whistle Dixie backed off the boards all day.
No bet for me but i like Copper Kay.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

Copper Kay beat the boys lto, no mean feat so I'll stick with her ew for small stakes. Nicholls mare has very good form. Fillie & mares so max caution

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Hope Cooper is ok.

Three fancies at naas , phils Magic and noble emperor based on form. The other is lots of memories in the last, lots of cash for it and they know how good the fav is so I'm following the money.

John Monash in the last race at Stratford tomorrow is a lump job, owner is coming from Oz to watch it

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

Gonna have a few small stakes today before Cheltenham

Follow The Tracks 7/2 (Taunton 2.20)
Weight seems VASTLY in his favor

Tiny bet on the correct forecast... Follow The Tracks, Ask A Bank

    Great shout, cheers.

I am not sure what up with my bets recently, they are either winning by 10 lengths, or losing twice that :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

Guess I will try for two in a row...

    Magic Magnolia 7/1 (Taunton 2.50)

Punters seems to be backing What A Scorcher, but I don't think that horse can move through the gears in the run in. I saw Magic Magnolia's last run. Seemed to have something, but unseated rider very early. If the horse wins, I am guessing it will lead all race.

Very small stake, as this is very much more guess work tha usual.

Was right about What A Scorcher not having what was needed, but picked the wrong outsider! :(

Maybe one more today, and then save money for Chelt!

    Dormouse 7/2 (3:20 Taunton)

Is the last one then. Looks to be another case of well weighted. Decent jock with a claim aboard too. A quick look at the stats shows that Taunton is the jocks most successful track too, and he even had a win on the same course/distance back in Feb.

Dormouse (2nd) was storming home, but May Be Some Time is a much better horse than the whole field.

Waiting until Cheltenham is in then - tiny bit extra in the fund!

I hope you did not really lump on,if you did you might like to have a bet on Moon racer in the bumper at Cheltenham.Moonracer beat War on the Rocks by 19 lengths lto and War on the Rocks franked the form today.I have Vigil backed for the bumper as I consider him to be a great bet,i may now have a saver on Moonracer as I got a few quid today from a small bet on War on the Rocks.

Looking at cards tonight, I saw a trainer is making a Dundalk debut (with 500+ races behind him) with a lightly raced maiden filly. There could be loads of sensible reasons this is happening (and there probably is), but I am willing to give it a small bet after a decent Chelt.

    Maravilloso 40/1 EW (6:05 Dundalk)

Ended somewhere in the middle of the pack. Back to betting on form it is then!

The best bet I have seen in a long time runs in the 2 30 at Lingfield tomorrow, the race he contests is a "fast track "entry to the big money raceday on good Friday at Lingfield.Winning his last 3 races very easily Four Seasons looks like a group horse to me and I have already backed it at 13/8 with PP.A horse with real potential who I expect will go on to contest and win much better races and for me it is close to a maximum bet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,463 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    RED SHUTTLE 8.15 WOLVERHAMPTON
    8-1 EW !
This will go real close ! Last run it was so short of room but was so full of
running, never had the room to go win.

Pocket talking?this was not Kirbys finest hour beaten a length wide all the way and very tenderly handled and to make matters worse beats Grendisar in the winter derby and robs me of a nice 8/1 touch, still at least got the place money.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

I didnt back the horse but seen the race, i thought Kirby was awful myself
