Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I backed Third Strike 5 55 lingfield @3/1 ew.Hard to see this one out of the money has a very useful 7 lb claimer on board and my €25 ew is in capable hands.

Great Tip won it in style.

That race is worth watching again and again 7lb claimer misses the break and his mount is pulling very hard in last place 8 0r 9 lengths behind with nowhere to go.Crouch resisted the temptation to make up the ground on the outside and sat until a bit of an opening appeared and he pushed his mount through to score cheekily by a neck.Horse can only go up 3 lb for this and will win again as he did not have a hard race.I have been keeping an eye on Hector Crouch for a while.
Probably the best 7 lb claimer around and would appear to have a bright future.

After a whole 4 days away...

    Classical Art 3/1 (Exeter 3.35)

There are two horses at the top of the market. Vodka 'n Tonic seems to be getting backed, but got caught on the run-in LTO, and has been risen in weight. Seeing him get caught made me feel he is a horse that cannot finish, and the extra weight will not help. Classic Art however ran well to force a dead-heat LTO, and was risen less for that great effort. If the race comes down to those two - then Classical Art seem the better horse, and surprisingly the handicapper was nicer to him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

    That was too close...

Vodka 'n Tonic was idling, but Classical Art did not do enough. Lost by tiny margins. Could have easily won that though...

I will need a Vodka and Tonic after watching that:)))

I guess I will try one at Leopardstown...

    Euphrasia EW 25/1 (3:45)

Has Soft going form. Won at Leopardstown before. And had won at this distance before too. Could see it nabbing a place

Either Fascinating Rock or Chopin (or both) will have to underperform though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

Euphrasia was back into 14s when opened up on track, and Chopin did underperform, but she could only finish 3rd. She did enjoy the ground though, as she finished better than a lot of the others in the race

Small bet on Fossa here at Kempton, back down to last winning mark in an open race.

Eh last, pulled too hard and went too quick, forget that post!

I am giving Golden Laughter 8/1 (Newmarket 5.10) a go

Unraced, but breeding suggest this could be an amazing Filly. Wish she had one race behind her so I was not betting blind, but if she was proven she would not be this price.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

Golden Laughter had nothing... and nothing to suggest a win will come in the future either.

Betting just on breeding makes this even more of a lottery than it usually is.

One more bet based on breeding alone for tomorrow...

    Multilingual 9/4 (Newbury 4.30)

Yesterday did not work out, but this horse is Jesus Christ on a bike in terms of breeding. Related to Kingman. Remote, and Zenda

    Zenda

    Remote

The stablemate could be the main danger given the trip...

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

No win for Multilingual, but I think she looked more decent than yesterday's bet. Maybe she was not asked to give everything, and this run was always going to be used just to settle her

I think I am done betting on breeding alone now. If this one was not able to knock out a win first out, then I cannot be confident in anything, as there cannot be much better breading than out there

Stablemate was better bred for a 7f trip imo, won easily in the end.

Just picked out a few I fancy for today.

    Newbury 1.15 - Mahsoob 3/1
    Newbury 1.45 - Arab Spring 11/4
Newbury 2.15 - Tiggy Wiggy EVS Saver on Redstart 16/1
Newbury 2.50 - Belardo 6/1 - Looks like he could be a superstar so big e/w on him. Dick Whittington looks overpriced too.

    Ayr 1.25 - Puffin Billy 4/1
    Ayr 2.35 - I Shot the Sheriff 9/2.

    Scottish National
    Goonyella 20/1
    Millborough 25/1
    Raz de Maree 25/1

Scottish Champ Hurdle is a handicap which means horses that are not class can beat class horses. Not a betting race

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

    Dunraven Storm 11/2 (3.10 Ayr)

That is my only shot today. Like that horse loads, but he has had horrible luck in his last two outings - including a bad fall. Hope he has fully recovered.

Had I more funds last night I could be up an absolute fortune. Did a Super Heinz with first 4 and Dick Whittington and Keble, I Shot the Sheriff NR.

Luckily had a tenner on Redstart as a saver and Muhaarar at 25/1 on exchange simply thanks to Frankie keeping me from starvation in the last week!

Screenshot as I didn't put up Muhaarar last night.

Gone already, sickener for Johnson was hoping he'd get the treble. Had a tenner on him and glad I didn't go bigger cos I was going to :(

Why "luckily you didnt bother"? Placed at 33/1, i assume you would of backed it e/w at that price.

    I probably wouldn't have man.
Backed him a few times this year and looked at him Friday night but left it. Just glad it didn't win if you know what I mean.

Giving the first race a shot today...

    1:30 Hexham
    Grange Hall (4/1)

Paul Stafford usually sends decent horses over from here to race at that track. Has to beat a very strong justified fave though

Exeter card is an embarrassment today...

    15:00 (4 runners)
    15:35 (2 runners)
    16:05 (2 runners)
    16:35 (5 runners)
    17:05 (2 runners)

Maybe worth looking for an upset in those 3 two runner races?

Small trixie on Sir Frank Morgan 7/4 (Has a chance), Saras Ruby 14/1 (newcomer so could be anything), Milgen Bay 7/4 (7lb rise for other horse).

    One Single...

Annie Oakley 10/1 (Wexford 16:30). Horse forms reads like an alphabet (FP0P1P), but can get stuff done when it needs to. Maybe today.

Not confident of anything, as a lot of terrible stuff out today IMO, so all small bets.

Just checked my account after not checking back yesterday, and saw three winners. Annie Oakley drifted to 12s andwon too! Nice! :D

Don't see any standouts today though. No tracker/notebook horses running for me either. Might try and find one later

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

Giving these a shot. Small bets again. Bit of yesterday's luck needed again.

    EW Trixie

    3:20 Dance Of Fire 11/1
The fave is strong, but the second in the market has a small history of not bothering during the finish. This colt always seems to finish strong. At least a 2nd is possible.

    4:40 Ryton Runner 15/2
This is a long 3m amateur riders only race - not usually a good betting race. There are jockeys with just single digits under their belt here. Ryton Runner's jock has solid experience, and the horse is decent with course/distance experience too. Seems a solid combo in a usually dodgy betting race.

    7:25 Fennis Moll 12/1
I honestly dont know. This horse can look like a world beater in one race, and in the next finish 40 lengths behind the winner. Basically, I am hoping today is a good day.

    Single

    6:15 Minella Present 9/4
Eased in the last two races after having all manner of problems. Much better horse than that though. Only three horse to deal with today, so a good opportunity to get the job done over fences and not have problems. If everything is right, I would expect to see it try to take the lead a few jump before the end. Fave in the race is strong, but I happy to take him on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

Only Ryton Runner placed. Will probably hold of until Punchestown now - unless something pops up.

There is a ton of money for Sassaway in the 17:45 Tipp

but I fancy Hi Empress to run well

Was second in this race last year 17 runners running off 8 12
Has followed the same campaign this year and it's last run at Dundalk was ( hopefully) too bad to be true

    Runs off 8 8.
    Currently 7/1 with Paddy Powers

    Hoping I won't have to post :o:o:o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,413 ✭✭✭CH3OH

    The money was right -

    1st 2 Sassaway (IRE) 2/1 f
    2nd 6 Hi Empress (IRE) 7/1

    Should have done the forecast:o
