Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Mother in Law found a box yesterday with a couple of old Kodak Cameras from the early sixties. They are in mint condition.

Inside the box was also a roll of colour film, exposed but not processed. It will have to be about 45 years old. I may drop it into Gunns & see if anything comes out, could be interesting. Wonder what the chances are that it will still process?

    Chances are you'll get results.

They won't be the best, you'll have colour casts, whites won't be white, etc, but it'll work.

I processed something similar maybe 35 years old in C41 and there was some loss but this doesn't matter if you get even a few good shots of your family. Just make sure it isn't slide film.

Now tell us about the old cameras -- what models etc ?? Retinas ? 35mm, medium format ?

    There are two Cameras.

The first is a Kodak Brownie Starflash. It seems in good order. Made from 1957 - 1965. It takes 127 Film.

The next one is a Kodak Signet 50. It still has the box & is in mint condition. It has the Flash with two reflectors & a box of Flashbulbs.

The film is a Kodacolor-X Negative Film 20 Exposure. It uses a C-22 process. It was sold from 1963 to 1974. The metal canister is nice too, none of this modern plastic! There is also a box from a roll of Kodachrome which has an expiry date of October 1961.

I'd wager that the kodachrome may be useable.

I remember a post on another forum that someone had found a roll of kodachrome dated from 1951 in a alaskan forest. turned out it was still sorta useable
