PS3 slim + extra controller + infamous for only 150 euro!!!

I have 6 on the list but 2 of them are COD 4&5 and i dont want to trade them as ive about 40 euro worth of DLC and i still play them both.

And i need to ask myself do i really need a slim PS3 since ive a 60gb one and 2 360's !!


EDIT : just reading through the list they have Wolverine on NDS and sonic & the black knight Wii on this list. Harvey norman in Limerick have the 2 of them in the 9.99 baskets. might be worth bring out the list and going through the basket i wasnt really looking at Wii or DS games at the time.

what a deal.. big thanks to the OP for this info, went straight in to town today bought 5 (cheap) games along with 5 that was at home and got the ps3 slim out of it with no trouble at all, cant wait to collect it Tuesday

I just went into my local gamestop and they told me they would only take 5games max I told him about the offer, he just said max 5 thats it!! is there any gamestop that is allowing this great offer?..

gonna go in in the morning and see if this is still going..fingers crossed. i have 4 games on the list myself, well i have wii fit aswell but im not gonna trade that in for €30.. so gonna try find 6 of the games.

My plan is to walk in ask in store if they will accept the 10 listed games! hopefully Yes, then take the 10 said games out of my smyths bag, take them out of the packets and hand them over! wonder will they be pissed?:D Will they take duplicate copies?.. is there any set guideline?..

I left one of the Smyths stickers on mine. The guy didn't seem to mind, some where still in the plastic wrapping too. Before I went and bought the games though I asked if any of the games on the list had been removed from the offer.

It will only work for pre-order! I think it would have made far greater business sense to have this offer on the old big model, which i believe they have large stocks of?..

Traded in 8 games that cost about 130 for 240 credit there now. Just a word of warning that the PS3 version of Smackdown vs Raw they want is the one with a free wrestling ring or something.

Smyths have Guitar Hero Decades, Littlest Pet Shop Spring and two of the Imagine games for 14.99 each.

i'm headin out to smyths now to buy them have four games myself.. were you able to trade in two copies of any game?? i rang gamestop there just to make sure before i went buying the games and the guy was like yea you can trade in 10 games but i can't take ten copies of the same game haha..someone must have a lot of cheek to go up with ten copies of the same game..

I didn't chance trading in two of the same game, didn't want to be too cheeky, getting a free upgrade when it comes down to it like.:) Give Gamestop a phone call and ask, I would guess they might let you off with one duplicate, doubt they'll accept loads of the same.
There could well be more games on the list that are 14.99 second hand in Smyth's as well, check the Wii games too.

I gave in 10 games from smyths to gamestop liffey st, bout 1bells! he told me the offer would be changed because of the cheap games! but said only about 5 ppl did the whole going out to buy 10games! they have over stock of the same cheap DS sh1t games which they will never sell!:D

tried carrickmines and tallaght as well, i prob would have managed to get 4 different games , and then get duplicates, but considering they dont take duplicates, and the recent post sayin that they might change it , made me worry i was gonna end up with 150e of crap

Gamestop was closed by the time I got there.
I dont have a gamestop card.

Went into xtra vision they have some of the games ( wheelman, HAWK on 360 and fifa 09 IRL Skate 2 on ps3 ) They are buy 1 get one half price i got those 4 for 70 euro, worth 120 euro in gamestop not much i know but it all helps. if i put them with the games i allready own i have 9 plus fear 2 should get it pretty close to the 300 mark.

I got 10 games from Smyths in Cork and traded them in the Gamestop in Merchants Quay with no problems. The 10 games I got were:

-Ultimate Band (Wii) €29.99 (Get another Disney game free, I got Bolt for the Wii.)
-Disney's Sing It (Wii) €29.99 (Get another Disney game free, I got Bolt for the DS)
-Imagine: Ballet (DS) €14.99
-Imagine: Movie Star (DS) €14.99
-2 Guitar Hero: Decades (DS) for €14.99 each
-Sonic and the Black knight (Wii) €24.99
-Mystery Detective 1 (DS) €24.99

I could have got 2 copies of the same for the last 2 and paid a total of €150 instead of the €170 but didn't want to be too greedy.

Gamestop Henry st and Liffey st wont take duplicates anyway, Theres no such thing as a Gamestop card. You have to collect it in the shop you pre-order it.

If your warranty is nearly up and you want a bigger Hard drive than go for it, there my main reasons, plus I want a dualshock3 rather then the sixaxis that came with my 40GB. THe lower power usage of the slim is a added bonus.

i bought 10 nhl2k9 and 10 cars maternal national off one guy..he gave me a reduction since i was buying so many of them..i hope it works out..I also bought another 10 games today because they havnt arrived in time for the ps3

Major thanks to the OP. Just did this in Gamestop in Stephen's Green. I traded in ten games and there was no hassle. In fact when I went back up to the counter to buy a second hand copy MGS 4 they said that I could get that for free when I pick up the PS3 slim on Tuesday and the guy behind the counter put it away for me. :pac:

I had 5 of the games on the list and as I had a good few other games lying around I brought them to Smyths in Carrcikmines to trade in. So I ended up paying just 44.95 for the other 5 games I needed. There was loads of copies of the Imagine and Guitar Hero for the NDS for 14.95 and Aliens in the Attic for the Wii for 19.99 in Smiths in Carrickimines if anyone is trying to find games for this offer.

44.95 for a new slimline PS3 is amazing. This is deal of the century!!:D:D

Picking up my slim on tuesday cost me around 140 in picking up games around town to get 8 games. stuck that terrible GH greatest hits with it glad to get 30 for that !!. Got 9 for Fear 2 so i only have 21 euro to pay.

Only bundle they are doing now is get a free used game when you buy it but still not too bad. Could get one off the list and use it straight away to pre order MW2 that would mean MW for 30 euro too !!

I went to Smyths yesterday and loaded up on €15 DS games (I couldn't get over the amount of rubbish games for it!!) and traded those and a few other games I already had in against the preorder. So the pS3 ended up costing me about 120 quid - Happy Days indeed.

I went there and was looking aroud Smyths for a while and eventually got the games but when I went back up to Gamestop it was closed. I really hope that they don't change things now. The person in Gamestop said it would be grand so hopfully they don't change it tonight.

I went into smyths today,and gave him a list of games i wanted..straight away he put on a smile and said the gamestop offer is it..

I went into gamestop at 12.30,a half an hour after they opened and 2 guys were up at the counter doing the exact same thing..I had one duplicate copy that they didnt accept so i swap my game for one of the other fellas that was doing it..

I was there for a while and the guy said this offer is gonna end fairly soon for obvious reason..He hinted at thursday,but its not confirmed yet..

Im gonna be screwed if it ends because of all the games i have coming my way..

I wish I had seen this earlier today but I still managed to pick up the games in Symths Cork out by the Kinsale roundabout a nice mixture of guitar hero,movie star and ballet dancer!! By the time I got to gamestop it was nearly closing time they processed 5 of the games and said they'll do the other 5 tomorrow as they were closing. They weren't too happy about it but I had phoned them prior to buying the ds games to confirm they'd accept them.

I asked about the infamous offer but they didn't know about it, seems its just the console for 300?
