Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What version of VLC do you have?

VLC should play YouTube .flv files just fine.

If you're using Firefox, download as .flv using the following plugins:

    Unplug https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2254

    -or-

    Fast Video Download https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3590

    ---

There is no need to 'transcode' .flv files for use on VLC. What are the problems you're having?

Why are you content on converting to .avi? Avi sucks, it's bad quality and huge file sizes.

VLC will play .flv files fine, do the above.

    YAMB is free and safe.

YAMB (Yet Another MP4Box User Interface for Windows Users)

    Main site: http://yamb.unite-video.com/index.html

    Downloads: http://yamb.unite-video.com/download.html

You should download + with installer package. No fiddling required.

    ---

    Creation Tab:

    yambcreation.gif

    Editing Tab:

    yambediting.gif

Once you click on join files, this'll be your window:

    yambjoinmenu.gif

    It's pretty straight forward.

    ---

Just to warn you, there's a lot of dodgy software being sold as 'joiners', be careful what and where you download something from.

    Avidemux is free and safe.

Avidemux is fairly unforgiving, it is not beginner friendly, but it will handle\manipulate a large range of video formats, including .mp4.
