Hotmail problem

    Anyone having problems with Hotmail? I'm getting this message all day:
    There was a problem with the Windows Live Hotmail service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.

    my hotmail was working fine all day in limerick. It might be something to do with eircom's dns problems at the moment. Check the other thread in this forum and switch to open dns

    Would the Eircom problems affect me if I'm with Smart?

    not sure of how much of the configuration that smart share with eircom.
    run the command line, ping live.hotmail.com, check if you get a response.
    Also ping google.ie and digg.com, just to get for a feel if it's hotmail or whether it's all web addresses.
    I'm presuming you tried shutting down msn and restarting, as well as restarting the Pc.
