Hey, I'm interested in expanding my rig into the vast expanses of the virtual world, and I'm just curious if it's worth it with my present laptop.

I'm looking at low latency audio interfaces. Would they help matters?
I've been looking at this among others

    Lexicon Alpha USB Audio Interface

It boasts that it's "latency free" but I'm not sure that that would help with using synths.

The processor i have on it at the moment is an AMD athlon X2 64.

    Thanks in advance.

Your processor should be enough I think. It's only 2 years old and its a dual core so it should really stand up to anything. If that sound card boasts zero latency and it relies on the CPU, then by all rights it should be able to cope.

Thanks a million. I'll have a look at that soon. Big help.
