I don't think anyone was injured but the road has been closed off heading towards Capel St.

This happened at about 3.30/3.45. The building is located at the corner where Parnell St. meets Jervis St. Penneys and Peats are on the ground floor of this building and there are shards of glass covering the pavement and the road.

The firebrigade and gardai are currently in the process of clearing the area and are trying to remove the remains of the window pane. I don't know what caused it but it's a miracle that no-one was injured!

UPDATE: PARNELL ST. HAS RE-OPENED TO TRAFFIC AND AREA IS NOW CLEAR. EMERGENCY SERVICES HAVE CLEARED THE GLASS AND HAVE LEFT THE SCENE
