Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When Football Goes Too Far

When Football Goes To Far :o Ffs.
Liverpool FC physio Dave Galley has been told he can not perform his usual role of working with the England squad for the forthcoming clashes against Slovenia and Croatia after Manchester United complained that he could obtain inside information on their players and pass it on to Rafa Benitez.
United chief executive David Gill raised the complaint and the FA have now banned Galley from working with the senior players but they claim they were not pressurised into making the decision.
An FA spokesman said: "Dave has reverted back to the Under-21s after one game. There should be no questions against his professionalism.
"We must be clear that there is an agreed board policy that has nothing to do with Manchester United that the medical staff should be independent.
"Franco Baldini (Capello's general manager) and Rafael Benítez discussed the matter yesterday and it was explained we wanted to see Dave working with the team in the friendly this month.
"We refute any suggestion that we have been pressurised by Manchester United."

    United Seem Worried? :o

    What a rubbish article.

The FA have denied that the decision was anything to do with united.

Also, it states that he can't perform his usual role. Rubbish again. He can and will perform his usual role - physio for the U21 side - THAT is his usual role, he was physio for the senior side for ONE game.

Fair play to United. They have a point.

what inside info could he get though? Unless the United players talk about tactics for upcoming league games.

"'ere Rafa, that Brown bloke, he is injury prone. Also that Rooney lad seems to have trouble with his foot..... Remember, you didn't here this from me, right?"

Was also on SSN showing the back of tomorrows papers.
Can't believe the papers though :P.

I don't see why United would care though,
It's highly unlikely that there going to be talking tactics etc
in front of players from nearly every premiership team .

Or here Capello that Rooney is fit to play, that tightness in his hamstring is all in his head..

Not saying it would happen , but it's best not to leave the national team open to such .

Gary Lewin combined England and Arsenal for 12 years. Ironically enough, Steve McClaren was assistant to Manchester United and a coach for England at the same time. Surely Ferguson realises that McLaren had a greater opportunity to 'spy'. There are many other examples, most notably the players themselves - do they spy on each other?

The whole thing is ludicrous and I really don't think its true - if it is Ferguson has lost the plot.
