Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok guys I have a quick question about OEM recovery disks. (The ones you get when you buy a new pc)
Is it possible to use a recovery disk on another pc ??? eg. A Dell recovery on a HP computer.
Like the disks have the OS and the drivers for that pc but cant you just use the disk to install the OS then install all the drivers for your pc??
Also, Does this breach any guidelines??

im not sure that it does breach anything. just your HP computer would have Dell bloatware on it, not HP bloatware.

    IS this XP?

Not sure what you mean by recovery disk..
Any Dell pc's I have seen recently usually comes with separate disks for installing the OS and drivers. There is usually a recovery partition on the hard disk which you can access by pressing a certain f key at startup.. this can restore pc to original state with all the original crapware etc.. The Dell branded OS disk may install on a hp but it won't be activated, you might then be able to switch the product key to a valid one to activate but that can be messy.
When you install a dell branded OS to a dell machine it will never ask you to activate, the disc detects the machine is a dell and installs with the delll OEM product key. Same goes for any other OEM disc with OEM pc.
