Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've a Mark 1 Canon EF 28-80 3.5-5.6 USM that I'm trying to find a lens hood for at the moment as it suffers badly from flare without one. According to this article: http://emedia.leeward.hawaii.edu/frary/toolbox2.htm#28-80Anchor, the lens uses a Canon EW-68A hood.

From a quick search of ebay and the web in general it looks like most sites are asking for about €40 for a genuine Canon hood  To date, I've been able to pick up spurious hoods for a few euros on ebay and tbh, I can't really see how anyone can expect much more than a tenner or so for a small piece of plastic! If I remember correctly, I got the lens itself for about €30!

    Any ideas?

Have an ad up in the wanted section alright but it's a pretty specific thing so don't hold out much hope.

This was posted earlier in the week. If all else fails, you could use the printout as a template and cut one yourself - foam / plastic. Even worth a try for the fun of it.

I got the deal extreme one for my Canon 28-135 (albeit the one specifically for canon), and it was grand.

Thanks all, found one on-line in a second-hand camera store in California that'll ship it for slightly less than €15 :)
