St. Peter's Ruby Red Ale

    Having moved back from England, one of the ales I miss most is St. Peter's Ruby Red.

    It is, as expected, a beautiful dark red colour and the taste is also amazing, (slightly caramel) and it doesn't have that strange metallic aftertaste a lot of bottled ales have. It also tastes wonderful cold!

    It comes in a funny little bottle too, based on a design from the 18th century, looks like a big medicine bottle - the best kind of medicine too....:)

    Yeah, it's quite good. Their Old-Style Porter is my favourite of their beers.

    On the red ale front, Red Frog Ale from California is in some of the better offies at the moment and is fantastic.
