Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Everton v Wigan, 15:00
    Portsmouth v Man City, 13:30

City *should* hammer Pompey but I have a bad feeling thwat we'll get done 1-0 or they'll nick a point late on.

Everyone wants to play Pompey now. City will win, may be tight though. Everton need a win. And probably should against Wigan.

Villa and Fulham might well end up as a draw. 2- 2.

Just saw on bbc Modric broke his leg

I think they will have way too much for Pompey, 3 or 4 -0 im going for.

I presume City are going with a 4-3-3 style line-up - against another side I would be concerned about the lack of defensive cover but Portsmouth's side just looks so weak. Really looks more like a Championship squad than anything. Cant see past a City win - even if they do conceed.

Surprised someone hasnt made a move for Kranjcar.
    Portsmouth v Manchester City line-ups:
Portsmouth: Begovic, Vanden Borre, Kaboul, Mokoena, Belhadj, Brown, Mullins, Hughes, Smith, Piquionne, Kranjcar.
Subs: Ashdown, Kanu, Basinas, Nugent, Utaka, Ward, Hreidarsson

Manchester City: Given, Richards, Toure, Lescott, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, Ireland, Barry, Bellamy, Adebayor, Tevez.
Subs: Taylor, Onuoha, Zabaleta, Robinho, Petrov, De Jong, Weiss.
    Referee: Howard Webb (S Yorkshire).

Someone needs to tell that guy with the bell to STFU.

Saw this on James on the BBC Gossip round-up. Saw something about Sunderland being interested as well??? Could understand James wanting to leave Fratton Park to keep the England keeper spot in a World Cup year.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp will make a last-ditch bid to bring Portsmouth keeper David James to White Hart Lane for £2m before the transfer deadline.

Very unsure about playing Ireland as part of a 2 in a 4-2-3-1 - I think it will mean he's too far from goal to offer as much of an attacking threat.

    Cue Ireland hat-trick ;)

Poor Cudicini. One of the best keepers in the league before Cech arrived. What the hell happened to him?

He happened to himself. He's happy to sit a collect a wage. Shame, but hard to have sympathy.

I love the way FF makes me throw all my footballing principals out the window. As a united fan i should be rooting for pompey obv but with richards and Ireland in my team i not only want them to keep a clean sheet each game, i also want Ireland to get multiple goals and assists too. The rest can fu*k off though.
