Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've had to start wearing warmer pyjamas with the cold of late, even with my big old duvet. I have a worn out t-shirt and some long pyjama bottoms from Penneys to stay cosy, though my feet always end up sticking out of the bed however cold.

T-shirt and pyjama bottoms. Current ones are a UCD Science Day 2005 t-shirt and green check flannel bottoms from Penneys.

Vest top and Undies. No matter what time of year.

depends; when i'm home, the nip works no matter what time of year, duvet has a pretty damn high rating which can make it a bit hot a) in good weather b) more than me under it :)

when away, given house-cleaning might ignore the DND sign, i sorta have to wear something, boxers suffice then!

Usually nothing or AE T-Shirt and comfy knickers lol.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,264 ✭✭✭mood

Hideous!!! But must be nice and warm. Think I'll give it a miss!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,375 ✭✭✭fonpokno

I usually just wear a big tshirt. When winter comes in I add long pyjama bottoms and slipper socks and a hot water bottle!

    Most nights... nothing.
during the coldest ~10% of nights? Socks.
Few things less sexy than a man in just his socks I know but if there is someone else there then it's not likely to be all that cold in the bed. Huddle together for warmth and all that. :)

Depends on where I am. At home if it's cold I'll wear PJs from La Senza. They do lovely comfy button up ones and they usually have them at 2 for €40. I'm not sure if they're in stock at the moment though.

In the boyfriend's sauna house I can just about manage a tshirt.

River Island have gorgeous nighties at the moment too.

Depending on how cold it is...

Really Light PJ bottoms & an AC/DC Tshirt
    or
    Tshirt and pj-shorts
    or
    just the tshirt and underwear

If you're looking for something really warm, I saw a big all in one pj suit (like a baby gro!) in Penney's yesterday! Really fleecy, looked cute! :)

I usually just wear a guys t-shirt and underwear to bed but I have millions of pj's! They tend to be worn around the house on lazy days though and then disgarded at bed time!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 818 ✭✭✭idontknowmyname

Depends, in the summer a vest top and tiny short things, if someone's in the bed with me, then nada :D or if the weather's really humid ( I live in London) then nothing either.
In Winter though I love my penneys pj's- dunnes do the best satin ones and penneys for the cotton ones

And suffering is the right word! At one point I had to have a fan on in the room. It is horrifically warm at times. On the plus side, my clothes dry really fast in his house! :D

Shorts and t-shirt under about 3-4 quilts, 24/7

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,095 ✭✭✭LadyMayBelle

Love love love PJ bottoms, I am very picky, I hate the cheapy feeling from some Penneys/Dunnes ones so I need cotton ones! And usually some old tshirt (either one from himself that I steal:D or old baggy ones from days of yorn...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 697 ✭✭✭chocgirl

I always wear either shorts or PJ bottoms with a vest and have to have electric blanket on too be it winter or summer!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,241 ✭✭✭barleybooley

I usually go to bed wearing gorgeous Juicy Couture ones my boyfriend got me for my birthday last year and the vest top that came with it if it's warm or a long sleeve cotton t-shirt if it's cold. Said boyfriend always flippin' takes them off me in the middle of the night  and I wake up all cold and stuff. Cotton's the only way to go for pyjamas tbh, woven for summer and flannel in winter :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,339 ✭✭✭congo_90

    Boxers all year round.
My duvet isn't even that thick!
Sometimes i'll throw a blanket on though for a few mins till i warm enough to sleep.

Last resort is this laptop which turns my room into an oven :p

    *edit*
Realised most here were women. I feel out of place

just a baggy tshirt either mine or one of my OH's and cheap pj bottoms from pennys or dunnes. nothing too fancy just nice and baggy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,980 ✭✭✭meglome

a relaxed look on my face

A long t-shirt if I'm doing my tan. Have a few pairs of light bottoms, generally in black and some old t-shirts but generally don't wear anything. We have an electric blanket to keep us warm.

I love my Snoopy pyjamas, I have loads of them. I would wear them practically all year round but I think I may have to go searching for long sleeved ones, my arms are getting freezing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 378 ✭✭cathysworld

I wear a nightdress (not Granny style) -a short one :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 496 ✭✭rantyface

    Tights!
Sooooo comfy. Warm but not clammy, and they don't roll up or clump anywhere uncomfortable. Feels like you have really silky smooth legs. I just wear old ones that have ladders, and a tight vest for support to help stop that inevitable flesh slide into my arm pits.

Tights? I can not imagine anything more uncomfortable to sleep in....

Cosy looking but i wouldn't be caught dead in them......

I personally thought the ones in penney's were hidious! Me and a bunch of friends stayed in penney's for half an hour laughing at them..

For me, a vest and knickers is best.. Pop on some light bottoms if it's a bit chilly..
But i do love OH big cotton t-shirts...

  • Registered Users Posts: 201 ✭✭Greyham

    boxers and tshirt
