I need to get replacement Samsung j700 phone. As you would expect the RIPOFF price here is €90 http://www.vodafone.ie/df/shop/ProductDetails.shtml?handsetselected=309037&offerSelected=prepayupgrade&action=view but I can buy the same phone from Vodafone UK for £40 http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-phone/samsung-j700-pink

Hope to buy the phone and get if sent a friend in the UK and for him to send it onto me

Would you know if I would have problems buying a mobile phone in the UK and for it NOT to work with a Irish Vodafone SIM card ?

Any help would be great.

It would be locked to Vodafone UK so you'd need to get it unlocked when you get it over here, that'll cost maybe 20 or 30 euro, so factor that into the price.

Nearly sure O2 are selling it a lot cheaper than that.

Most phones sold by Carphone Warehouse in the UK are unlocked and unbranded. They have the Pink J700 for £39.99 (£29.99 + £10 topup) here:
