Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interesting in buying a Zen Cart package at the moment and wondering has anyone had any bad previous experience with it? And/or with www.jsweb.co.uk?

    Thanks

Don't but it off them, Zen Cart is free, they want to charge you 170 year one, and 95 year 2...

Just get normal hosting from an irish host and install zen cart yourself. It's a five minute job and well documented on the net.

Similar packages that may be worth a look are Prestashop and Magento. Theses are also free.

I already have an existing hosting plan. My site is already made and just needs a shop add on but im on a small timeline and would be willing to pay as i dont have the time to learn how to do this at the moment.

Is there a better provider than jsweb for this in that case ?

    Who is your current provider?

They aren't really going to do much to help... All they will do is install an empty Zen Cart for you. You will still have to add all your products yourself.

It doesn't make sense just to pay them to install it.

I've worked with the guys from jsweb in the past, they know their stuff and are great to deal with.

Current provider is Blacknight. But i believe Zen Cart installation requires alot of databases , and i dont have much knowledge in that area

blacknight offer a "one click" install of zen cart...

It should be an option in your hosting control panel.

pm me your details if you want and I'll do it for you (you can change the password after i've finished!)

Have used Zen Cart a number of times. Would highly recommend it.

    There's only one database!

As spartacus says - Blacknight have a one click install. But this will only give you the default template. If you want to make it your own, you'll need to get a design and that's the tricky part.

The guys in JSWeb seem to know what they are talking about.
