Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking for white platform or at least knee high white boots. It's for a fancy dress so I don't want to spend much on them as I'll only be wearing them once. Do Penneys have anything like this in at the moment? I won't be able to get in to town until Thursday so just asking if anyone has seen them recently, thankyou! :)

White boots have never been popular with irish ladies trying to source something cheap will be kinda difficult. The only place that I have seen them is Zerep on Liffey street. I can't remember how much they are but they're somewhere in the region of €50-75. Your best bet would be to get them on eBay but that might not be quick enough for you.

Ah that's what I feared, definitely can't afford to spend that kind of money on just the one night and something I'll never wear again. Maybe Penneys will be my saviour yet. Hopefully! Thanks Kintaro :)

Maybe if you already have boots, you could get boot covers? The likes of these maybe?

I don't know how well they work or where else you could get them but maybe try the joke shop or a costume shop? Hope that might help!

When I saw the title of this thread, as I was waiting for the page to load I was praying "please let it be for fancy dress, please let it be for fancy dress" ...

Thankfully, yes, it was for fancy dress :D

Mightn't be any harm ringing around charity shops, they might happen to have some in stock!

Also if you found the right type of boots in a different colour, could you somehow paint them or dye them or something? Mightn't look perfect, but it might just do the job.

Something like that would be great but I've phoned around and no luck :( If I had more time I could go online but it's too late for that now unfortunately.

Size 6 and need them for Saturday :)

Yeah a lot of people have said spray paint. Is it easy to get that kind of paint? I presume normal paint wouldn't work so is there a clothes spray paint out there?

    Thanks for the help :)

Well I've often heard of people dying shoes for weddings and the like, so you could maybe find out a bit about what's used for that?
