making dvd

Hi, can anyone tell me if a dvd rw is the same as a dvd burner, i'm try to put my hol stuff on dvd I have a new jvc everio gz-mg630 and an accer extensa 4220, plus a desktop pc dell, although i don't think either has a burner, any help much appreciated.

rw stands for Read / Write, so yes it is a burner.
