Easy to use software required to back-up my music hard drive

I have a 1Tb hard drive which contains my entire music collection which I back-up every now and then onto a second external hard drive.

At the moment, when I do a back up, I clear the second external hard drive and recopy everything, so as not to lose any newer music added to the original collection

There must be a better way to do this. Is there back up software which can look at all folders and see which ones are new or changed since the last back up and only copy these. If so, can anyone recommend - either free or pay?

You don't need to delete everything on the backup hard drive. If you copy and paste all your music over to the new one it will give you the option to skip duplicates.

Microsoft synctoy will do that for you.

1+ for SyncToy, very easy to use.

sync toy is free so best option to go with.

Make sure to analyse then sync. otherwise it takes forever.
