Im just returning to running after 3 years out on the couch, which was due to a few reasons, work, family, back injury etc. I have done 5 marathons previous to laziness kicking in.
I have just got up to 7 miles in 1 month from 0, so happy enough with my progress. My question is, is it to early to start training for a marathon next April? Will I be able to keep injury free training for that length of time?
Also is there anyone in the Connemara area interested in setting up a group for the long runs after christmas.
Thanks or reading, and any advise is welcome,:D

It's never too early to start training. Congrats on getting going and good luck with it. There is a wealth of information on this site to help.

Have signed up already, will give me the motivation to have a target. Going to follow Hal Higdons schedule, its what I used the first few times. Its a hilly marathon, so plan to do most my training in hilly conditions. Be prepared for the hell of the west.
