    I don't know much about Nordmende; it's probably a fairly crap display, but if you just want a big full-HD TV for as cheap as possible this is fairly decent value.

    Specs on the web say 8ms response time, and 1200:1 static contrast ratio (which is nothing amazing). 6000:1 dynamic.

    I was in the market for as large and cheap as possible a HDTV. Cheers!

    Probably will be crap looking compared to anything a few hundred more, but hey ho!

    Afaik, Nordmende would actually be considered one of the better budget brands. €469 for a 42" Full HD is mega value.

    Makes me start to wonder why i paid over €800 for my Full HD Samsung!

    It was definitely €469 when I posted it, sorry about that. I wouldn't buy it now on principle.

    Yeah I know, I refreshed the page and the only difference was the price changing. I sent a query about it, and they phoned me saying they are out of stock in all stores, and to try the 'walker' tv for 499.

    Just checked, and thats only 40"

    We bought one of these a year ago based on what was once regarded as a very good brand, once being the important word here. We took it back the next day as the quality wasnt good enough for the price we paid at the time. I am glad we did now becuase we paid a good bit more than that offer.
